# Alek Update - 15 May 2025

We’ve just rolled out a new update to Alek - and if you’re using it on your phone (or you want to use it on your phone), this one’s especially for you.

## **What's new in this update:**

- **A smoother, redesigned mobile landscape **- the new phone app is much easier to use, and you can now keep your phone in portrait mode. It works in the browser or as an iOS app.

- **Explain the suggestions** - ever wanted to know *why* Alek gave you certain suggestions? Well now you can find out. When you get suggestions, press the "Show Explanation" button to get a better idea of why these suggestions were given.

- **Use your own ElevenLabs & Acapella voices** - if you have your voice banked with ElevenLabs or Acapella, it's now possible to access them from Alek.

    - For Acapella (iOS app only), follow their guide here: [https://mov.acapela-group.com/acapelamov/](https://mov.acapela-group.com/acapelamov/) and then check inside your voice list on Alek.
